Storage & preparation

Before mixing
Store sealed freeze-dried vials cool, dry and away from direct light. Refrigerate or freeze for longer-term storage. After preparation, keep refrigerated and protected from light.
After mixing
Refrigerate at 2–8°C and protect from light. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.
Preparing the vial

What Is Pinealon?

Pinealon is a three-amino-acid peptide with the sequence Glu-Asp-Arg, commonly abbreviated EDR.

Why Is It Being Researched?

Laboratory studies examine EDR in neuronal morphology, oxidative-stress and hypoxia-related models. Its very short sequence also makes it useful in mechanistic peptide-signalling work.

Evidence Note

The evidence is mostly preclinical. A 2024 induced-neuron study reported changes in dendritic morphology and oxidative DNA damage markers; it does not establish a clinical cognitive or anti-ageing benefit. See the PubMed-indexed study and an earlier cell-viability study.
